Walking and playing music

GASPAR'S STORY

Gaspar, a three-year-old boy, loves playing musical instruments; the keyboards and the guitar. “He’s always playing in the house. He’s a musician like his father,” comments Rosa, Gaspar’s mother.

Two years ago, Gaspar arrived at Adisa for the first time when he was just a year and a half old. Beforehand, he didn’t walk or standup. “We have achieved a lot in Adisa. With the therapies, he learned to standup and walk,” Rosa says. Even though he sometimes needs support from others, now, through his therapies, Gaspar is trying to walk on his own.

Rosa also attends a lot of the parent workshops in Adisa. “We’ve learned a lot in these workshops about how to take care of our son,” she explains.

I’m grateful for what Adisa does for children. Had I never heard of this institution, Gaspar might not have ever made these advances. I very much appreciate what Adisa does. We could not afford to pay even a cent and Adisa helped us.
